A newly built Mosque in Nottingham had installed these fantastic looking floor tiles in their wash areas, toilets and main entrance but hadn’t realised that there was no slip resistance on the tiles in wet conditions.

The local authority-building officer was carrying out inspections to the building and noticed these tiles and decided to carry out a slip test on them.

The results returned a high risk of slips in wet conditions and they were told that they couldn’t open the Mosque unless the tiles were either replaced or a slip resistant solution applied.

We were contacted by the Mosque to see if we could help them solve their issues without replacing the tiles.

We applied our moisture reactive, anti slip treatment to all the tiles I the areas affected without changing their appearance and with no downtime or disruption.

Mosque Slip Resistant Flooring

The tiles went from a PTV of 7 (very high risk) to 39 (low risk) and the Mosque was ready in time for its grand opening.
