The terrazzo flooring in this wash bay had been previously coated with an anti slip coating but due to poor surface preparation and an incorrect specification the coating couldn’t stand up to the chemicals being used in this area.
Another complication was that we couldn’t use conventional materials or equipment to remove the paint as it was in a pharmaceutical environment, so we removed the existing coating with environmentally friendly paint stripping chemicals back to the original substrate.
We then applied an anti slip coating system that could withstand thermal shock and the harsh chemicals present in this environment.
